Parking Sectors at Atlanta Airport

Overview of parking options by terminal at Atlanta Airport

Atlanta Airport offers a variety of parking sectors to suit the needs of different travelers. From hourly parking for quick pickups to economy lots for extended stays, the airport provides multiple options, each with its own set of features. However, travelers have shared mixed experiences, with some praising the convenience and others highlighting challenges such as availability and clear signage.

Domestic Terminal

Hourly Parking

The north and south hourly parking lots, which are closest to the entrance of each terminal, are ideal for picking up or dropping off passengers at the airport. Users have found this option convenient, though it can become crowded during peak hours, making it difficult to find a spot.

Daily Parking (covered)

This 4-level overnight parking area is located directly in front of each terminal. While it offers convenient access, some users have noted that finding a space can be challenging during busy periods, and the cost can be higher than anticipated.

Economy Parking

These lots are adjacent to the parking platforms and offer a more affordable option for longer stays. However, there have been some complaints about the distance to the terminal and the frequency of the shuttle service.

ATL West Parking

Located at 4199 Skytrain Way, College Park, GA 30337, ATL West Parking provides easy access to the terminals via the SkyTrain. Reviews have generally been positive, particularly regarding the convenience of the location and the covered parking options.

ATL Select

Located at 1800 Sullivan Rd, College Park, GA 30337, this area offers covered, open-air, and oversized vehicle spaces. Users appreciate the variety of parking options available, though some have mentioned that the signage could be improved to better direct travelers to the appropriate areas.

International Terminal

Hourly Parking

Just steps from the check-in and Arrivals areas, this lot contains more than 1,100 parking spaces. It also has 14 enclosed parking spaces for alternative fuel vehicles and another 14 parking spaces for vans and carpools. Access is from Maynard H. Jackson Jr. Blvd. Users appreciate the proximity to the terminal, although some have expressed concerns about the cost and availability during peak hours.

International Park Ride (covered)

This facility on Maynard H. Jackson Jr. Boulevard, west of Loop Road, offers 2,400 parking spaces. A free 24-hour shuttle bus service travels in 3 minutes to the boarding level of the International Terminal and picks up passengers on the Arrivals level upon their return. The shuttle service has received mixed reviews, with some praising its efficiency and others pointing out occasional delays.

NOTE: In all sectors, there is a lost ticket charge equivalent to the maximum daily rate plus the length of stay.

On the other hand, parking services are available outside the airport grounds. Although these are more remote lots, they have their own shuttle service to the terminals and rates are usually lower. Suppliers' vehicles can be boarded outside gate A1, on the Arrivals level of the International Terminal, and outside gate LN1, on the north side of the lower level, in the Domestic Terminal. Some of the companies providing this service are:

Payment methods

When leaving, you can use the payment machines located in the terminal and parking areas or the automatic machines at the exit plazas. All major credit cards and cash payments are accepted. Travelers have noted that while the payment process is generally smooth, it can be frustrating during peak exit times when lines form, especially at the automatic machines.
